Backyard Woodpeckers

Here is a male Yellow-shafted Northern Flicker that has been visiting the backyard every day for the past week, for a drink at the heated birdbath :

This male Hairy Woodpecker is now a regular visitor. The unsalted Peanut Butter is still proving to be a big hit :

I live in an apartment building and it just seems so wonderful to have those little beauties right in your backyard. Thanks for sharing your world, Nick.

Nick - I love your visitors - beautiful photos of both! Are you just smearing the peanut butter on the branches for them? Great idea!

Thanks for the kind words:-)
Shelley , I smear the peanut butter on a large dead poplar branch that I have buried in the ground.
This is what you see in the photo, and it also makes a great perch :-)
