Whooping Cranes

Here is another photo of the Whooping Cranes at Osler, Saskatchewan . I didn't get all 10 in the frame for this photo, but it was nice to get a flight shot.
A few days ago another Whooping Crane joined them bringing the total up to 11 birds.
We really are fortunate to have them here as they stop over before migrating further south :

Fortunate is the right word, the only way I'd see one is if I traveled west.

Thanks guys. As far as I know, they are still there if you want to hop on a plane :-)

Wow, Nick - I can't believe how many of your posts I missed - I looked at each one and you sure have some greats as usual! These whooping cranes...aren't they declining? I have a friend who winter's in Florida each year and he goes somewhere special to photograph them. Neat flight shot!

Thanks for looking. Yes , they are quite endangered.
I hope they will make a comeback. I'm glad your friend gets to see them as well.
