Brown Thrasher

These were taken last week along the river. I wanted to get some shots of this bird foraging in the leaf litter as they blend in rather nicely with the Fall colors.
I had to be very still and patient to get these shots, as any movement would have scared him off...

Amazing how nature has a way of protecting the species by letting them blend in as they do.

These are great. I'm learning to be still and patient. It's not easy but sometimes well worth the wait. :-)

Those are nice, Nick - these birds are some of the spookiest that I have in my area - I rarely get a decent shot.

Thanks ladies, it sure pays to be patient in this game :-)

They have become one of my favorite Songbirds. Their colors are so intense! Good ones, Nick!
